Nopalitos or nopales is the Spanish name for Prickly Pear Cactus. You can buy it fresh and clean and ready-to-cook at any Mexican store.You can find the leaves or pads and grill them or you can buy julienned nopales and mix in salads.
Ingredients:
- Nopales
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Corn Tortillas
- Salsa
- Grilled Onions
Directions:
1. Mix the nopales, seasonings, and olive oil and let the flavors meld.
2. Broil the nopales for 6 minutes on each side.
3. As soon as the leaves wilt remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter.
4. Serve on tortillas and top with salsa and grilled onions. Enjoy!
