Missions Trip To China

The first time my husband, Matt, and I did the Daniel Fast was shortly before our missions trip to China during the summer of last year. We had undergone lots of financial trials before the trip. We tried to start a daycare business in early 2008 and it did not work out. This experience ended up becoming a loss that took us a while to recover from. However, we did not want to give up our desire to go on a missions trip because we felt led by God to do it. I have to honestly say that we were unsure which direction to turn and during the Daniel Fast we realized that many doors were closing on us. But soon after, one door did open up, and that was a financial blessing to make the missions trip to China possible. I know that regardless of how short the trip was, God did awesome things. Simply saying “Jesus loves you” to a child can make a huge impact. China is a country with so many people and where there isn’t freedom to preach the gospel.  Most of those people we spoke to had never heard about Jesus and I’m glad we sewed the seed of the gospel in their hearts. We spoke to a lady at the park who might have been in her 80s and she said she had been told about Jesus when she was a little girl but she had not heard about Jesus ever since. She asked us if Jesus was God and whether he could heal her body. Seeking Jesus with prayer and fasting will take your spiritual life to new levels no matter where your are in your walk with God or what your needs are.

Melody’s Testimony:

These are Sis. Melody’s ultrasounds. The first one was done before Christmas and the second one was done  three weeks later.  See her testimony below.

Miracle has been done by God!!! My name is Melody. I am 22 years old. Before Christmas, I was 2 months and 1 week pregnant and had to go to the emergency room. I was feeling some pain in my lower abdomen. I was at the hospital from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. I got a blood test and 3 ultrasounds done as the doctors were trying to find what was wrong with me. Well about at 7 p.m. the E.R. doctor came in and told us (Edgar my husband) that there was no baby and he couldn’t find a heart beat. There was a lot of blood in my uterus and most like it had been a miscarriage. So he told me to go on bed rest for 3 days then go see my doctor again. The next day we let pastor and sister Copple know what was going on. That Wednesday night God moved me in a way I cannot describe . Only He can tell you what my heart cry was that night. The next day I went to see my doctor. She did an ultrasound and could not find a fetus. She told me that I could miscarry before Christmas or maybe even for New Years. I was devastated and as she left the room I prayed that God would have his way in my life. If God chose to have my family in heaven bigger then the one I have on earth so be it. We left for are 3 weeks on Christmas vacation . On Wednesday Jan. 7, 2009 I went to see my doctor again, not knowing what God had planned for me. The nurses did my ultrasounds and she was amazed about what had happened. In 3 weeks my body made a 2 month-old baby. I told her “No!!!, God made us a baby in 3 weeks. ” With a strong heart beat and everything that was wrong or low is now high and gone, Thank God. God blessed us with a miracle baby. I hope that you see there is nothing too little or big for our God to make a miracle with.
